Streichenberg advises the shareholders of Padma AG on the sale to the Galenica Group
Streichenberg regularly advises entrepreneurs on the purchase or sale of companies to third parties. We act as a sparring partner from the very beginning of the company succession process - from due diligence to closing.
In the course of securing the company's succession, the sole shareholders of Padma Ltd. have sold all their shares. The Galenica Group will acquire 100% of Padma Ltd. at the end of January. Padma specialises in the manufacture and distribution of herbal formulations from Tibetan medicine.
Streichenberg provided legal advice to the shareholders of Padma Ltd. in co-operation with profitax AG (Bruno Beer) on the sale of all shares. Melanie Käser and Christoph Wildhaber led the contract negotiations and were supported by Matthias Stauffacher and Oliver Kaufmann in the field of regulatory and competition law.
Padma Ltd. will be managed by Galenica as an independent Business Unit in the Products & Marketing sector. All 39 employees at the headquarters in Wetzikon will be retained. The sale was successfully completed on 30 January 2023 and Padma AG was handed over to its new owner.
